I’ve spent so many nights lost in the pictures
I’ve held my fists so tight my knuckles crack
I scream so violently into my pillow
But nothing that I do will bring you back
I’ve scribbled out these words too many ways now
I’m such a hypocrite, I feel so weak
So quick to call religion just faith in science fiction
Yet here I am now praying on my knees
But I don’t need a god, I need more of your time
And it’s selfish that I feel left behind
No one knows why we don’t always get a warning
I just hope that soon enough I’ll get a sign
Cause I can’t go where you’re going
So just promise you’ll come and visit
It’s not fair never knowing
Where you went on that one-way ticket
I wonder where you are, if you can hear me?
You light up all the darkness in my mind
I feel you from a distance like you’re near me
I wish that I could see you one more time
So many different questions that I’d ask you
I really need to know that you’re alright
No clue what I believe in apart from what I’m feeling
And it feels like you’re still here at my side
But I don’t need a god, I want more of your time
And it’s selfish that I feel left behind
No one knows why we don’t always get a warning
I just hope that soon enough I’ll get a sign
Cause I can’t go where you’re going
So just promise you’ll come and visit
It’s not fair never knowing
Where you went on that one way ticket
I know you rest in peace
But now I can hardly sleep
I just need a couple good hours

Just had to get this on vinyl although I've been listening to this album for a couple of years already.... now it can take it rightful place beside " Endless Summer!"🧔 Knut -Thomas

Memories and Comeback Kid were my first introduction to this band. From then on - I've always gone to the Midnight for easy listening. Waiting for a bus - Standing in line - Going grocery shopping and pretty much everywhere and anywhere. You can listen to this track over and over again and I feel like it doesn't get old. solstra
